- Plague: It is caused by bacteria called yersinia pestis. Plague alone is responsible for serious illness and death across the globe. It is caused by bites from rodents, people in rural areas are mostly affected by it.
- Hantavirus: It is caused by a bite by a rodent. It is spread by urine, feces and saliva of the infected person.
